Mascot Media is committed to providing websites that are accessible to individuals with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards wherever feasible.
Key Accessibility Features
Our websites support keyboard navigation, screen readers, contrast testing, and alt text for images. We also provide guidance for uploading accessible documents.
- Skip navigation: every site template includes a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
- Keyboard support: menus, carousels, galleries, and checkout flows are operable by keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
- Motion control: auto-scrolling content offers pause controls, and animations respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Zoom: pages support pinch-zoom and text resizing up to at least 200%.
- Screen reader support: images carry text alternatives, form fields are labeled, live score and schedule updates are announced, and data tables identify their headers.
Limitations
- User content: Some files or images uploaded by schools may lack full accessibility. We offer tools and guidance, but responsibility lies with the uploader.
- Color choices: Schools select their own branding colors, which may affect contrast. We test defaults for compliance.
- Third-party tools: Integrated services like embedded media players, live-score widgets, or photo galleries may not meet accessibility standards.
- Video captions: Live broadcasts and some uploaded videos may not include captions.
